New Year’s Celebrations in Vonder Cities

What’s going on in London, Berlin, Dubai, and Warsaw to bring in 2023? Read all about New Year’s celebrations in Vonder cities.

Last year, celebrations around the world were impacted by Covid-19. Instead of live parties, there were televised events. As much fun as those were, we couldn’t be more excited to tell you that parties in person are back. No more celebrating in your living room - it’s time to get back into the action!

New Year’s in London

If you’re living in Vonder’s co-living London and are looking for activities to usher in the New Year, you’re in luck. This will be the first normal New Year’s Eve in three years!

London New Year’s Day Parade is famous for the spectacle it brings, with over 10,000 performers throughout central London. This is always a great way to bring in the New Year. There are also numerous parties, from Glitterbox NYD to New Year’s Eve at Somerset House. If you’re in Kensington, New Year’s Eve at the Natural History Museum gives you an unforgettable prehistoric Jurassic Party at its dino-disco.

But if you aren’t looking to party this year, we highly recommend you check out Lightopia London, the immersive light experience in Crystal Palace. Featuring interactive illuminations and lanterns that create a multi-sensory experience, walk this 2-kilometre trail for a relaxing New Year winter wonderland.

Another way to make this New Year unique is to spend time at one of the Royal Observatory’s absorbing planetarium shows to find out what will be in the stars in the months ahead. ‘The Sky Tonight Live’, presented by an astronomer, is open until February 4th, 2023.

New Year’s in Berlin

If you have been living at Vonder’s furnished apartments for rent in Berlin for awhile, you will already know that Germany had strict restrictions in previous years due to Covid. That is why we are so excited to tell you that the New Year’s Party at the Brandenburg Gate is back. One of Europe’s biggest open-air parties, hosting live bands and DJs, huge firework displays, and light/laser shows, this event is highly anticipated. This year, there will be a few changes: it will be celebrated directly at Pariser Platz, and there won’t be fireworks.

If you are athletic, you might appreciate Berlin’s New Year’s Eve Run instead. Organized by the SCC Berlin, this run around the Teufelsberg in Grunewald offers different distances to choose from depending on age and fitness.

For those who enjoy a good show, a national favourite is back: the Blue Man Group. The Blue Man Group continues to enjoy massive popularity among Berliners and tourists alike, and has become the most successful long-running show in Berlin over the years. This is a staple of this time of year, and for good reason!

The official website of Berlin has an extensive list, if you want to hear more about New Year’s Eve events in Berlin

New Year’s in Dubai

All those in Dubai already know - the top attraction for New Year’s is the incredible fireworks show at Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. Not only will you get an excellent view of the fireworks, but you’ll also get a laser and lights show there. There are also many restaurants and entertainment options throughout the night, so you’ll have something to do when the fireworks are over. The annual Zero Gravity party, known for bringing global music sensations to Dubai, is also a great time.

Dubai also offers more luxurious experiences. Watch a fantastic show at the Dubai Opera - when midnight comes, the DJ takes over! Or go aboard a luxury dinner cruise, with live entertainment and a delicious feast to ring in the New Year. Check out more New Year’s Eve Dubai 2022 events here.

New Year’s in Warsaw

For an epic night, Fireworks on the Water offers you music, champagne, and fireworks all night long aboard a cruise at the Vistula River. With a special menu for the night and top-tier DJs on every floor, this is one of the best ways to bring in the New Year and a classic favourite. If you are looking for something a little more low-key but still beautiful, you might prefer New Year’s Eve at Warsaw’s Piano Bar. Accompanied by live music dating back a hundred years and a selection of fine wines and champagne, you are sure to bring in 2023 in style.

For the dancers in the crowd, you’re in luck: the Excellence New Year Tango Marathon gives you three full days of tango, with 6 of the best DJs from around the world, in the exclusive interior of Airport Hotel Okęcie. They only accept online applications until December 26, 2022, so hurry to apply if this one’s for you. You can find a list of New Year’s Eve Warsaw events here

Finally, there is no better way to get into the spirit of winter than ice skating. Check out the Old Market Square (Rynek Starego Miasta), where you can ice skate all night with your friends. There’s also music, entertainment, and food kiosks nearby to complete the picture. Although admission is free, you have to pay to rent the ice skates.
