Battersea Power Station Renewed

Urban renewal, revitalisation or rejuvenation - take your pick of terms. Regardless which one you choose, there is no doubt it is a great thing for cities. We are thrilled to see the opening of an all new and improved Battersea Power Station.

Battersea Power Stattion has gone from being an eyesore to a state-of-the-art, drop-dead beautiful, and most importantly ,functioning building. The revitalisation of Battersea Power Station has put Battersea back on the map. It is an urban location not to be missed.

At its peak, Battersea Power Station was supplying a 5th of London's electricity. Now, it's amazing to see that the building which once produced the energy that enabled people to eat, drink, shop, and play in the city, is now providing a venue for a new generation to do just that. After standing empty for almost 30 years, the building is back with a bang!

So, what exactly can you get up to on your visit to this iconic building on the south bank of the river Thames? With over 100 shops, bars, restaurants, leisure and entertainment venues you won’t struggle to find something that suits your fancy. When it comes to satisfying your taste buds the will not let you down. From Dasha the doughnut truck, serving up Crosstown’s range of award-winning doughnuts, specialty coffee, small-batch ice cream, extraordinary chocolate, and handcrafted cookies, to Vagabond serving rare wines sourced from around the world, Battersea Power Station has it all. There is also Cinnamon Kitchen, Poke House, Roti King, and Wright Brothers, just to mention a few. And if you’re looking for something really fun, check out Birdies - the ultimate crazy golf experience and cocktail bar. As we all know, nothing goes together better than out-of-this-world cocktails, Cheeky Burgers, and a game of mini golf.

If you’re looking for something a little more jaw-dropping, then you’ll have to check out Lift 109. Set to become one of the most exciting viewing platforms in London, with views that include both the Shard and London Eye, the glass chimney lift will hold up to twenty visitors at a time. Promised to officially open later in the year, you have the opportunity to sign up for pre-sale tickets here. This is an attraction not to be missed.

Battersea Power Station also plans to have a year-round calendar of events. There are opening offers, running until the 31st of October. And next up is Glide - the most magnificent open-air ice rink in the city. Open 7 days a week from November 11th to Sunday 8th, skating on London’s only riverside ice rink with the breath-taking Battersea Power Station building in the background. It’s time to secure your tickets!
