Dubai Design Week, held in partnership with Dubai Design District, is the region’s largest creative festival, reaffirming Dubai’s position as the design capital of the Middle East.
Dubai Design Week is held annually for six-day. This year marks the 8th anniversary of this city-wide ‘celebration of design’ which encompasses culture, education and entertainment. It is unique in that it spans multiple disciplines of design, from graphic and product design to architecture and industrial design, it also puts a large focus on engaging residents and visitors alike.
Dubai Design Week supports the industry and creative community to host a variety of events and exhibitions and acts as an umbrella organisation to promote all design-dedicated activities taking place around the city.
Held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, Dubai Design Week is owned and managed by the Art Dubai Group, staged in strategic partnership with Dubai Design District (d3), and supported by Dubai Culture & Arts Authority and A.R.M. Holding.
This year, the event is running from the 8th - 13th November. It is a convenient 10 minutes drive from our co living Dubai building - Vonder City Walk, which means Vonderes are in the heart of this exciting event.
Included in this years event are Installations - expressions of design by ways of large scale presence by brands or designers, Exhibitions - curated immersive experiences that take visitors through a design theme, Downtown Design - the region’s leading industry design fair for original, high-quality designs, Design Talks - thought provoking discussions between industry leaders & animators, Workshops - hands-on, curated workshops, with an emphasis on environmentally friendly materials and story-telling, and Design Market - a curated selection of products presented by a selection of artisans & creatives.
