Make a Splash this Summer

With temperatures soaring in cities around Europe this summer, it’s time to track down your closest water source and make a splash!

Floating in Berlin

Residents of our co living Berlin buildings Stralauer Allee and Köpenicker Straße are within walking distance to a gorgeous floating public swimming pool, The Badeschiff. Situated in the East Harbour section of the River Spree, you’re able to float in the crystal clear water while enjoying the panoramic views of the river. Besides swimming, the beach area around the Badeschiff has become an urban recreational area. During summertime there are yoga and StandUpPaddling courses on offer. Beach parties and music events take place on a regular basis, making it a place to add to your must visit list.

Swimming in Munich

A 10 minute walk from Vonder’s co living Germany building in Munich is a place to escape the summer heat amongst rolling green lawns. Westbad swimming complex offers both indoor and outdoor options for cooling off, as well as an entertaining waterslide and saunas. If you’re feeling extra active, the pool offers aqua fitness classes too.

Relaxing in Dubai

When temperatures are reaching an average of 40 degrees celsius, traveling far for a dip in water may not always be a pleasant option. That’s why at both our co living Dubai apartments we have swimming pools conveniently located on site. For our Vonder Bluewater members, living life on an impressive man-made island means paradise all around, and there’s no exception when it comes to our outstanding communal swimming pool on their doorstep. Our City Walk members get to cool off and enjoy a stunning rooftop swimming pool & terrace while taking in Dubai’s iconic skyline.

Beaching in London

Believe it or not there really is a beach in London! It’s on the Piccadilly Line, in Ruislip, West London, and it’s the perfect spot for anyone searching for a little faux-seaside fun. You may not get the salty water, the waves or the seagulls, but there’s beautiful white sand edging a 60-acre lake, and on the southern side you’ll find a miraculous beach. There’s also ice cream for sale, and plenty of other beautiful surprises. One of them being that you’re surrounded by an ancient 700-acre woodland nature reserve, a spot so beautiful it alone would make the journey worthwhile.

Whether it’s floating, swimming or relaxing or beaching for you, remember to pack your sunscreen, sunglasses and plenty of water. Happy splashing!
